About RateLoft
Credit building, without the profit motive.
RateLoft is a nonprofit rent-reporting service affiliated with Flagstone Community Foundation. We help property managers report on-time rent payments to all three credit bureaus — at no cost to residents.
Why this exists
Half of America's renters spend a third or more of what they earn on rent. That payment — the largest one most people make — leaves no trace. RateLoft exists so the people carrying the heaviest housing costs in the country stop being invisible to the system that decides what they can borrow, rent, and build next.
What we do
We turn rent payments into credit history.
Property managers already track who pays rent and when. RateLoft formats that ledger data and furnishes it to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion as a positive tradeline.
Residents do not sign up themselves, download an app, or hand over extra personal information. Enrollment happens through the property, and the data reported is limited to what the bureau needs to record the payment.

Residents first
Every decision is measured by whether it helps the person paying rent. If it doesn't, we don't do it.
No catch, no upsell
Residents are never charged. There is no premium tier, no credit card on file, and no product being sold on the side.
Positive-only reporting
We report on-time rent payments only. Late or missed payments are never furnished to the credit bureaus.
